Philosophy I love design. I love development. I love making intuitive and functional websites that exceed clients expectations. Seeing a website go from concept to design to a fully functional live website all from my own hands is one of my favorite things in the world.Working Style I love working closely with my clients throughout the creative process, phone calls are often more convenient, but I enjoy face to face meetings when it's feasible to do so. As long as the client isn't on a tight timeline they can come to me with almost nothing worked out before hand, I have absolutely no problem participating in the brainstorming stages of a project with the client. If they're on a short schedule though I generally would like at least a basic outline of the website design/functionality that the client is looking for.Perfect Fit My perfect client would definitely have to be a small business in the Portland area with a $3000-$8000 budget looking for a completely custom website to be built from the ground up for them. I'd have to say my favorite project was working with a couple friends to develop www.weloveaudio.com, which is a community website aimed at music producers. It was a really fun site to build since I was able to do everything from the initial concepts and design comps to the entire back end system for the website, and I do a bit of music production myself so that made it just that much more interesting.Inspiration I've never really thought about who my heroes are before but I guess now that I do I'm going to have to say all the really successful designers/developers that just keep pushing the industry forward, people like Shaun Inman I guess. I'm actually kind of a nerd at times so I definitely use video games to bring the fun back to my day. I also love taking my camera downtown for the day with a couple friends and getting some good shots, and sometimes I make drum and bass and ambient industrial music. | ![]() ![]() |
