Philosophy Design must solve a specific communication problem. Otherwise we're just decorators, not designers. That said, I absolutely love it when I can create something beautiful, refined and elegant that hits the target - to me, that's the ultimate success.Working Style Initially, I prefer to meet in person to discuss the project parameters. The creative brief and most of the subsequent design steps can usually be handled via email and phone conference. In my experience, this is a good, economical approach - provided there is clear communication throughout the design process.Perfect Fit My ideal client appreciates good design, both in terms of value and aesthetics. My favorite recent project was a wedding package - far from being bridezilla, my client had a clear idea of color, content and style, making my job much easier and resulting in a stunning final product. Inspiration My mom is my hero. After raising five kids (with 16 years between oldest and youngest), she went back to school to follow her passion. I feel lucky to have discovered early in life what makes me happy - creating beauty - and to be able to do this every day. Right now, some of my passion is channeled into creating a day planner for 2006 - it's quite a project of collaboration and I'll be very proud to hold the final printed piece in my hands. |   |
